Justin Wong is a PhD candidate in Science, Technology and Policy Studies at the Harvard Kennedy School, as well as a JD student in Harvard Law School. He researches geopolitics and science and technology through the perspective of Science and Technology Studies (STS) and critical legal theory.
Justin’s research focuses on the relationship between knowledge, citizenship, and sovereignty: how governments of nation-states seek to domesticate and promote scientific and technological advances, how such exercises of sovereign power are transforming the laws (broadly defined) surrounding citizenship, fraud, and public delegation, and how these exercises are contested through norms about universality and fairness. Whereas existing writings on the topic have been focused on the materiality of technological prowess, he provides a constructivist counterpoint about technoscience, domestic politics, and international relations. |
