Recognizing her tireless service to the student community across various schools and departments at Harvard, STS Program Director Sheila Jasanoff has received the 2020-2021 Everett Mendelsohn Excellence in Mentoring Award. The Mendelsohn award, presented annually based on nominations from the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, recognizes exceptional mentorship that faculty provide to graduate students.

Sheila’s has long understood the importance of providing professional and career mentorship to graduate students, and has built much of the Program on Science, Technology & Society to be centered on training.

Her mentorship extends far beyond the Harvard Student body. The STS Program also has a robust Visiting Fellows group, where students from around the world come to Harvard for a semester or a year specifically to benefit from her guidance.

The Award will be presented in a virtual ceremony on April 12, 2021, and all are welcome to attend.
